Create Carousels in 90+ Languages
Carousel Studio supports content generation in over 90 languages. If your audience speaks Spanish, Portuguese, French, Japanese, Filipino, Arabic, Hindi, or any other language, you can create carousels in that language without using translation tools or copying text back and forth between apps.
How It Works
The process is straightforward: write your prompt in the language you want your carousel to be in. Carousel Studio's AI will generate both the copy and the design in that same language.
There's no language selector, no translation step, and no extra configuration. The AI detects the language of your prompt and matches it in the generated content. If you type in Portuguese, you get a Portuguese carousel. If you type in Japanese, you get Japanese slides.
This feature was added in Carousel Studio V2 after seeing users from around the world manually copying AI-generated text into Google Translate to create carousels in their own languages. That manual process was slow and often produced awkward translations. Now, the AI generates natively in your language from the start.
Examples
Here are some example prompts in different languages that produce great carousels:
Portuguese
Prompt: "5 dicas de produtividade para empreendedores que trabalham sozinhos" Result: A 5-slide carousel in Portuguese with productivity tips for solo entrepreneurs. All slide copy, headlines, and calls-to-action are in Portuguese.
Spanish
Prompt: "Los mejores consejos para emprendedores que quieren crecer en redes sociales" Result: A carousel in Spanish covering social media growth tips. The tone matches the prompt, and the copy reads naturally in Spanish — not like a translation from English.
French
Prompt: "Comment creer du contenu viral sur les reseaux sociaux en 2026" Result: A French carousel about creating viral social media content. The AI understands the context and generates appropriate French copy.
Japanese
Prompt: "SNSでエンゲージメントを高める5つのコツ" Result: A carousel in Japanese with five tips for increasing social media engagement. The AI handles Japanese characters, formatting, and phrasing correctly.
Filipino
Prompt: "Paano gumawa ng mapag-engganyong carousel posts para sa Instagram" Result: A Filipino-language carousel about creating engaging Instagram carousel posts. The copy is natural and conversational.
Arabic
Prompt: "نصائح لتحسين التواصل مع جمهورك على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي" Result: A carousel in Arabic with social media communication tips. The AI handles right-to-left text direction and Arabic phrasing.
Hindi
Prompt: "सोशल मीडिया पर अपनी पहचान बनाने के 7 तरीके" Result: A Hindi carousel with seven ways to build your social media presence.
Tips for Best Results
1. Be Specific in Your Target Language
The more detail you include in your prompt, the better the output. Instead of a short, vague prompt, be specific about the topic, the audience, the tone, and the number of slides. Write your prompt the same way you would if you were describing the carousel to a colleague — just do it in your target language.
Less effective: "dicas de marketing" More effective: "7 dicas de marketing digital para pequenas empresas que estao comecando nas redes sociais, tom profissional mas acessivel"
2. Use Natural Phrasing
Write your prompt as you would naturally speak or write in that language. The AI responds best to natural, conversational phrasing rather than literal translations of English prompts. Don't translate an English prompt word-for-word — instead, think about what you want to say and write it directly in your language.
3. Mention Visual Preferences in Your Language
If you have design preferences, include them in your prompt in the same language. For example:
- "estilo minimalista, colores suaves" (Spanish — minimalist style, soft colours)
- "tons vibrantes e modernos" (Portuguese — vibrant, modern tones)
- "シンプルなデザイン" (Japanese — simple design)
The AI picks up on these visual cues regardless of the language.
4. Specify the Number of Slides
You can mention the number of slides in your prompt, or use the slide selector in the app. Both work the same way.
5. Review and Edit
After generation, review the copy on each slide. The AI produces high-quality content in most languages, but it's always a good idea to check that the phrasing, grammar, and tone match what your audience expects. You can edit any slide directly in Canva.
